This time it's a post for real...haha :)

The blog has been officially revived! Alright!!! :) haha... so here we are in the Philippines. We've been here for about a week now :) We spent our first days with our friends...Beverly, an ex-co-worker of Jeff's and her husband Allen and their super-cute son Miggy. They are super nice. They picked us up from the airport and had a hotel arranged for us. We spent the first couple days together. They showed us around their hometown and introduced us to some fantastic Filipino food. They live on Mactan Island, a small island next to Cebu, which is sort of in the south of the Philippines. We spent 2 nights there and then a night on the main island of Cebu. Our friends took us on a fun snorkeling trip where we were able to see many fish. :)
After that we went to a neighboring island called Bohol. It's famous for its "Chocolate Hills" and a small monkey-like creature called a Tarsier that has huge eyes and is incredibly cute!! :)
We spent 3 nights in the jungle there and saw a lot of really interesting animals including monitor lizards, tail-less whip scorpions (the cave-dwelling kind, we used to have some as pets) and many more. Now we're on a little island called Dumaguetes, waiting to meet up with our friends again tomorrow to join them on a trip to some waterfalls. It's great to have a hot shower again...haha...
anyways..here are some pictures, they're in backwards order though :) :

These are some Tarsiers. They're sooooooo cute. They're primates that are nocturnal. They can turn their heads almost 360 degrees. They eat crickets and small lizards. Their eyes are sooo big.

We found a huge bull frog on the stairs of our jungle huts.
A millipede...
Fresh coconut water. :)
Awesome view of the valley in Bohol. You can see our huts in the bottom left corner...
A really cute tree frog.
A traditional Filipino dessert called Halo Halo. It has ice cream, lots of different jelly things and coconut milk. It's very yummy.
this is a tail-less whip scorpion. they live in caves. Some of you might remember that we used to have a couple as pets. It was really neat to see them in the wild. We found these in a cave that was part of a hike we did. They grow really big in the Philippines. We saw a whole bunch of them including little babies.
Our hut.
Snorkeling. It was lots of fun! Thanks Beverly, Allen, Miggy and Josh!!! :)
Chocolate Hills in Bohol. They're called that because they turn brown in the dry season. Pretty weird... just tons and tons of hills.
A 4-foot long monitor lizard outside our hut. They called it a "Filipino Iguana".
An old church in Cebu.
Filipino dinner.
Where we stayed on Mactan Island, Cebu.
More pictures can be found on Kat's Facebook page. :) More soon to come... :)
